Redeeming Points and Applying Promo Codes on Desktop POS

In Nexchar POS, customers can redeem their loyalty points for discounts or free shipping during checkout. Cashiers can apply promo codes directly from the Desktop POS once a customer has earned enough points. Follow the steps below to redeem points and apply promo codes easily.

Step 1: Selecting a Customer

  1. On the Desktop POS Main Page or Checkout page, locate the Promo Code button.

  2. Before applying any promo code, the cashier must first select a customer.

    This is required for the system to verify the customer’s points balance and eligibility for redemption.

Step 2: Opening the Promo Code Page

  1. After selecting a customer, click the 'Promo Code' button. This will open the Promo Code form, where you can view and apply available promo codes.
  2. The cashier can then see all the available promo codes that the customer is eligible to redeem based on their points balance.

    Step 3: Selecting and Applying a Promo Code

    1. On the Promo Code page, the cashier can select the appropriate promo code.
      • Promo codes may offer either a Fixed Amount Discount or Free Shipping depending on the customer’s points balance.
    2. After selecting the desired promo code, click the Apply button.

    Step 4: Applying the Promo Code to the Cart

    1. Once applied, the system will automatically check whether the promo code meets all of the customer’s requirements.
    2. If valid, the discount or free shipping will be applied to the customer’s cart.
    3. The cashier can then complete the checkout as usual, with the discount reflected in the final total.
