Steps to Perform Offline Sales
- Enable Offline Mode
- If your internet connection is lost, the Desktop POS system will automatically switch to Offline Mode.
- A notification will appear on your screen, confirming that you are now operating offline.
- Process Sales Transactions
- Continue processing sales as usual. All transactions made in Offline Mode are stored locally on your device.
- The sales process, including scanning items, processing payments, and printing receipts, remains the same.
- Manage Receipts and Inventory
- Receipts for offline transactions will be printed as usual, with a note indicating that the transaction was processed offline.
- The inventory will adjust locally to reflect the sales made during offline mode.
Syncing Offline Sales with Your System
- Reconnecting to the Internet
- Once your internet connection is restored, the Desktop POS will automatically detect it and switch back to Online Mode.
- A notification will inform you that the system is back online.
- Automatic Sync
- The POS system will automatically sync all offline transactions with the central server.
- During this sync, the system will update inventory levels, sales reports, and customer data.
- Manual Sync Option
If you prefer to have more control over the syncing process, you can use the Manual Sync option.
- Navigate to "Sync" in the Menu>More>Sync System of your desktop POS.
Also, you can click the Offline sync button form the quick menu.
- The system will begin syncing offline transactions with the central server.
- A progress bar will show the sync status, and you will be notified once the process is complete.
Check Sync Status
- After syncing, you can review the status of each transaction to ensure all sales have been successfully uploaded.
- Go to the "Sales History" section and look for the sync status indicator next to each transaction.
Troubleshooting Offline Sales Sync
- Transactions Not Syncing: If some transactions do not sync automatically, you can manually trigger a sync using the Manual Sync option.
- Partial Data Sync: In rare cases, only part of the data may sync. Ensure that your internet connection is stable, then manually sync the transactions.
- No Internet Connection After Offline Sales: If the connection is not restored for an extended period, the POS system will continue to store transactions locally. You can manually export the transaction data and upload it when the internet connection is available.
